Strings Clove

Heir Fabric

Strings Clove is a richly coloured woven textile in deep clove brown, enlivened by broken horizontal bands that shift between russet, copper and darker brown. Its close-up texture gives the pattern a tactile, dimensional quality.

About this fabric

The surface is formed from fine horizontal ribs with irregular stepped marks, creating a softly fragmented geometric pattern rather than a fixed repeat of clean lines. Warm copper and muted russet threads catch across the deeper brown ground, giving this colourway a subdued, earthy glow. The supplied record notes no performance features, so its character here is defined by the visible dense weave, tonal variation and substantial-looking surface.

How to use it

Pair Strings Clove with oatmeal, tobacco and aged timber for a warm, grounded scheme, or use it on a statement chair where its russet highlights can be seen across the upholstery. The deep brown base also sits comfortably with darker bronze and soft cream accents.

Use this richly layered clove-brown weave to add warmth and tactile pattern to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
