About this fabric

The image shows a dense, even grid of small squares, with subtle tonal variation between the intersecting lines and the surrounding ground. The warm brown shade leans towards russet in the lighter areas, while the recessed lines add depth and definition. Its structured appearance reads particularly well for tailored upholstery, where the regular check can reinforce clean, architectural forms. No performance features are noted for this Fabric specification.

How to use it

Use Merlon Clove on a buttoned chair, bench or compact sofa where its warm clove-brown tone can anchor softer creams, tan leather and aged timber. The small-scale grid also works well as a disciplined counterpoint to larger patterns.

The warm clove-brown tone and neat fine grid bring tailored depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
