About this fabric

This Jane Churchill velvet from the Zander Velvets collection is woven in 59% viscose, 23% recycled cotton and 18% polyester, with a width of approximately 144cm and a repeat of V 34cm / H 18cm. The swatch shows a creamy base with repeating narrow stripes in deep red, muted sage, tan and gentle peach tones, creating a rhythmic, ordered surface. The velvet pile softens the colours and adds a subtle sheen, so the red reads richer where the light catches it and the paler ground stays calm. It is a good choice when you want pattern and colour without a heavy, high-contrast effect.

How to use it

The cream background keeps this colourway fresh, while the red and sage detail gives it enough character for a pair of upholstered chairs, a bench or smart cushions. It also works well against painted wood in off-white, olive or warm taupe, where the vertical stripe can lift the scheme.
