Lexi Blue

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0078-04

Lexi Blue is a richly textured velvet with a clouded, almost mineral surface in layered slate and denim blues. The pile gives the design a soft sheen, so the pattern feels lively as the light moves across it.

About this fabric

This velvet is made in a 54% Polyester, 46% Viscose blend and comes approx. 148cm wide, with a vertical repeat of 36cm and horizontal repeat of 37cm. The surface shows an abstract, broken pattern rather than a neat motif, with pale blue highlights sitting over a deeper blue ground. In this colourway the effect is cool and slightly weathered, giving the fabric depth without looking overly bright or glossy. The velvet texture softens the contrast between tones, which makes the pattern read as tonal and layered rather than sharp-edged. With no performance features noted, it feels best suited to decorative upholstery pieces where the pile and movement can be appreciated.

How to use it

Pair Lexi Blue with pale oak, brushed nickel or chalky neutrals to keep the room crisp and contemporary. It works especially well on compact seating, ottomans or cushions where the shifting blue surface can act as the focal point.

Use for a tailored statement chair or bench where the mottled blue pile can catch the light.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
