About this fabric

Part of Jane Churchill’s Zander Velvets collection, Mira Copper is a velvet with a 136cm approximate width and a composition of 60% viscose, 27% cotton and 13% polyester. The surface reads as a warm copper-brown, with flashes of orange and terracotta where the pile lifts in the light. Its fine vertical striation softens the sheen and gives the fabric a tailored, tactile look rather than a flat solid appearance. The repeat is V 19cm / H 17cm approx, and the listed care code is Q 8 < T 3, with fire code √BM.

How to use it

This copper tone works well on occasional chairs, ottomans and headboards where its warm sheen can be seen close up. Pair it with walnut, tobacco leather or muted olive to play up the fabric’s autumnal richness.

Use for tailored seating or statement cushions to bring warm metallic depth into the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
