About this fabric
From the Zander Velvets collection by Jane Churchill, Mira Taupe is a velvet with a characterful vertical texture that reads as gently brushed and subtly ribbed in the image. The composition is 60% viscose, 27% cotton and 13% polyester, which helps create the supple, light-catching finish visible across the swatch. At approx. 136cm wide, it is a practical upholstery cloth for furniture that benefits from a little visual movement, while the repeat of V 19cm / H 17cm approx supports the striped, rhythmic effect. The colourway sits in a warm taupe-brown family, with darker earthy bands that deepen the look and a softer golden cast in the raised pile.
How to use it
Use Mira Taupe on upholstered chairs, ottomans or a banquette where its warm neutral tone can add texture without overpowering the room. It pairs especially well with walnut wood, aged brass and stone-toned palettes.
A warm taupe velvet with subtle striated movement for tailored seating or elegant cushions.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Mira Taupe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
