Orion Blue

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0298-01

Orion Blue is a richly textured velvet with a small geometric pattern that reads as a layered teal blue from across the room. Warm tan and ivory accents lift the surface and give the design its rhythmic, architectural look.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill velvet is woven in a 48% viscose, 30% cotton and 22% polyester blend, with an approximate width of 144cm and a repeat of V 20cm / H 24cm. The pile catches the light to reveal deep blue-green ground tones, while the contrasting pale lines and warm coppery accents sharpen the pattern. The overall effect is smart and tactile rather than glossy, with enough visual depth to suit a tailored interior. With a fire code of √BM and no performance features noted, it is best considered as a decorative upholstery velvet.

How to use it

Use Orion Blue on an occasional chair, footstool or paneled headboard where its teal depth and pale linear motif can be seen clearly. It also works well with walnut woods, brushed brass and oatmeal linens to balance the cool ground with the warmer accents.

A crisp teal-blue velvet that brings subtle warmth and structure to modern seating or statement cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
