Zander Blue

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0296-05

Zander Blue has a cool, textured look, with slender dark blue marks set against a pale blue-grey ground. The small-scale abstract pattern gives the velvet a rhythmic, slightly painterly feel.

About this fabric

This velvet is composed of 55% Polyester, 39% Viscose and 6% Recycled Cotton, with an approximate width of 140cm and a repeat of V 43cm / H 35cm. The swatch reads as a muted teal-blue, with the darker motif sitting clearly over a soft, lighter ground so the pattern has good contrast without looking harsh. Its pile catches the light in a gentle way, giving the colourway a subtle depth rather than a glossy sheen. The overall effect feels crisp and contemporary, with enough texture to soften the geometric, broken-line patterning.

How to use it

Zander Blue works well on an armchair, banquette or ottoman where the cool blue ground can anchor a room. Pair it with pale oak, chalky neutrals and brushed metal for a clean, tailored scheme.

Use on tailored seating or a statement cushion where the cool blue tones can add depth without feeling heavy.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Zander Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
