Zander Ochre

Zander Velvets VelvetJ0296-04

Zander Ochre brings a lively ochre-gold ground to the Zander Velvets collection, broken up with a dense, irregular vertical pattern that feels full of movement. The velvet finish gives the surface a soft sheen, so the lighter areas catch the light against the deeper brown lines.

About this fabric

This Jane Churchill velvet is composed of 55% polyester, 39% viscose and 6% recycled cotton, giving the cloth a rich handle with a practical textile mix. The repeat is approximately V 43cm and H 35cm, and the design reads as a medium-scale abstract with a strong vertical rhythm across the surface. In this colourway the ochre base is warm and golden, while the pattern picks out deeper brown and biscuit tones that create depth without looking overly contrasty. The overall effect is earthy and polished, with the pile reflecting light to emphasize the varied texture of the motif.

How to use it

Use Zander Ochre on an accent chair, ottoman or scatter cushions where its warm gold tone can lift timber, leather and natural neutrals. It also works well in rooms that need a touch of richness without moving into a heavy jewel colour.

Use on statement chairs or cushions to bring a warm, textured lift to neutral schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Zander Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
