Dakota Ochre

Dakota Collection FabricDAKOTA

Dakota Ochre shows a warm ochre-gold ground with a softly striated, textile-like surface and a lightly mottled finish that catches the light gently. The colour feels sunbaked rather than bright, giving the cloth a rich, settled depth.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Dakota Ochre is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, with a 60,000 rub test, a 147cm width and a substantial 300gsm weight. The surface has a dry, textured look rather than a flat finish, with horizontal and vertical movement that creates a subtle crosshatched grain across the cloth. In this colourway, the ochre reads warm and earthy, with golden highlights and softer tan shadows that keep it from feeling glossy or brash. That makes it especially useful where you want colour, but still need a restrained, durable fabric with a smart tailored character.

How to use it

Use Dakota Ochre on statement seating, banquettes or contract drapes where the warm gold tone can add depth without overwhelming the room. It sits well with dark woods, aged brass and rust or camel accents, especially in schemes that need a grounded mid-tone.

Pair with walnut, tobacco leather and warm neutrals for a grounded, contemporary scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
