Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1MORETON

Moreton Gold shows a fine geometric surface in a muted, light-reflective gold tone. The small-scale texture gives the fabric a subtle directional rhythm without overpowering the room.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, this Ashley Wilde fabric is designed for drapes only and has a substantial 330gsm weight, giving it enough body to hang cleanly. The 140cm width makes it practical for curtain-making, while the 2cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat keeps the tiny geometric motif tightly ordered across the cloth. Visually, Moreton Gold reads as a soft antique gold with a pale, sandy warmth rather than a bright metallic shine, so the texture feels refined and calm. With no rub test noted and a textile made in India, it is clearly positioned as a decorative window fabric rather than an upholstery cloth.

How to use it

Use this gentle gold colourway for layered curtains in rooms that need warmth without glare. It pairs especially well with cream, oak and muted stone finishes, where the small geometric texture can add interest from a distance.

A warm, understated gold that adds quiet texture to tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
