Poplar Platinum

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1POPLAR

Poplar Platinum reads as a cool, softly weathered grey with a gentle platinum sheen. The surface has a dry, lightly striated texture that gives the floral-botanical design subtle movement without strong contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester and designed for drapes only, Poplar Platinum has a refined mid-weight handle at 255gsm, with a 140cm width and a 24cm vertical and horizontal repeat. The swatch shows a pale platinum-grey ground with barely-there tonal patterning, so the florals and textural marks sit quietly into the cloth rather than shouting across it. Its finish feels calm and slightly luminous, with the light catching the raised texture and the paler motif detail. Made in India, this is a smart neutral that brings surface interest while staying restrained.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want pattern without obvious colour: it works especially well at a window against white walls, dove grey upholstery, or brushed metal finishes. The cool platinum tone keeps the room feeling light and tailored rather than heavy.

A cool, textured neutral that layers beautifully with pale woods and crisp white paint.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Poplar Platinum without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
