About this fabric

Part of Ashley Wilde’s Essential Weaves Vol 2, Furley Iris is a 100% polyester fabric with a width of 140cm and a 18,000 light domestic rub test, making it suitable for light domestic upholstery and drapes. The visible surface is tightly patterned with tiny pale flecks across a soft grey-lilac ground, creating a dry, woven effect rather than a flat solid. Its 336gsm weight reads as reassuringly substantial without looking heavy, so the colourway feels composed and versatile. The cool lavender cast softens the grey base and gives the fabric a more delicate, contemporary mood than a plain mid-grey.

How to use it

Pair this muted iris-grey with pale oak, chalk white and brushed nickel for a crisp, understated scheme. It also works well as a textural anchor beside deeper blues or plum accents.
