Furley Sunflower

Essential Weaves Vol 2 FabricEWV2FURLEY

Furley Sunflower is a bright, welcoming weave in a warm sunflower yellow, patterned with a fine scatter of tiny pale flecks. The overall effect is softly textured and lively rather than bold, giving the cloth a fresh, sunlit feel.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester and made in India, Furley Sunflower is specified for light domestic upholstery and drapes, with a 140cm width and an 18,000 light domestic rub test. The design shows a dense all-over small-scale texture, made up of tiny off-white marks that sit against the golden ground and create a gentle dappled finish. Its 16.5cm vertical repeat and 12cm horizontal repeat support the regular, compact patterning seen across the swatch. At 336 grams per linear metre, it has enough substance for small upholstered pieces as well as curtains or blinds where a cheerful colour is wanted.

How to use it

This warm yellow reads well with pale oak, chalk white and natural linens, where the small textured pattern adds interest without overpowering the room. It is especially effective on accent chairs, benches or lined curtains in bright but informal spaces.

A cheerful small-scale yellow that works well on compact upholstery pieces or relaxed curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
