Poplar Ivory

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1POPLAR

Poplar Ivory reads as a very pale ivory with a softly mottled botanical texture across the surface. The design feels light, dry and understated, with the pattern blending gently into the ground rather than sitting in sharp contrast.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% polyester, Poplar Ivory is supplied as a drapes-only fabric with a 140cm width and a substantial 357 grams per linear metre / 255 grams per square metre weight. The 24cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat creates a regular all-over rhythm, but the tonal ivory-on-ivory finish keeps it calm and subtle. In this colourway the floral-botanical texture is barely raised visually, giving the cloth a refined, soft-focus appearance rather than a bold decorative look. Made in India, it is a good choice when you want gentle pattern and a light, breathable impression without strong colour contrast.

How to use it

Use Poplar Ivory for curtains in rooms that need brightness and softness, especially alongside pale woods, plaster pinks or warm stone tones. Its muted ivory ground helps patterned upholstery or painted joinery stand out without making the scheme feel busy.

A quiet ivory weave that keeps a room light, layered and softly refined.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Poplar Ivory without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
