Kinver Taupe

Essential Weaves Vol 1 FabricEWV1KINVER

Kinver Taupe shows a neat small-scale diamond lattice in a pale taupe-grey tone. The overall effect is airy and understated, with the geometric outline giving the fabric a crisp, orderly rhythm.

About this fabric

Woven from 100% polyester, Kinver Taupe is specified for drapes only and has a substantial 316 grams per linear metre, giving it enough body to hang neatly at 140cm wide. The small geometric pattern repeats every 3cm vertically and 4cm horizontally, creating a regular trellis-like surface that reads clearly without feeling busy. In this colourway the taupe sits close to a soft stone grey, so the pattern appears slightly deeper than the ground rather than sharply contrasted. The result is a calm, contemporary drapery fabric with a restrained woven texture and no performance finish noted.

How to use it

This muted taupe works well for full-length curtains, Roman blinds, or layered window treatments where you want structure in a quiet, neutral palette. It pairs especially well with warm whites, pale oak, and brushed metal finishes.

Use for tailored curtains where the subtle diamond repeat adds quiet structure without overpowering a room.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kinver Taupe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
