Mendel Perlino

Alston Fabric

Mendel Perlino has a softly variegated taupe-grey ground, threaded with pale stone, charcoal and subdued blush tones. Its close-up surface forms a fine, irregular check that gives the colourway quiet depth.

About this fabric

The tightly woven face is built from tiny horizontal and vertical intersections rather than a bold printed motif, creating a delicate micro-grid across the swatch. Warm taupe and grey dominate, while small charcoal and muted pinkish threads add a gently speckled, dimensional quality. The low-contrast pattern stays calm at a distance but reveals considerable tonal variation close up, with a dry, softly textured appearance.

How to use it

Use this warm greige colourway on a tailored armchair, headboard or compact sofa, pairing it with chalky neutrals, weathered timber and muted blush accents. Its restrained micro-check also works well where a room needs texture without a strong geometric statement.

A quiet taupe-grey ground with fine woven variation, well suited to tailored upholstery and understated schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
