About this fabric

This Calais colourway reads as a soft platinum grey, with a cool undertone and just enough warmth in the neutral base to avoid looking harsh. The visible plain weave is fine and closely worked, giving the surface a smooth, understated texture rather than any raised pattern. It is supplied as a 300 cm-wide curtaining fabric, making it especially useful for wide drops and cleaner, less seamed window treatments. The composition is 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, which supports the practical, easy-drape character suggested by the image. With no repeat and no Martindale rub test noted, this page is best positioned for curtain use rather than heavy upholstery.

How to use it

Use this platinum grey alongside pale oak, chalk white or brushed nickel for a calm, architectural scheme. Its cool neutrality also works well in rooms that need a discreet curtain colour without adding visual weight.

A cool, understated grey that gives curtains a clean tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
