About this fabric

Woven in 50% Mohair and 50% Acrylic, this upholstery fabric has the plush, slightly directional surface you expect from a mohair-rich cloth. The plain pattern and 140 cm width make it a practical choice for tailored seating, while the 80,000 Martindale rub test indicates strong durability for everyday use. In Tempest, the colour sits in a cool mid-to-dark grey range with gentle variations in the pile, so the finish feels softened and tactile rather than hard or chalky. That muted, slate-like tone gives the fabric a smart, contemporary edge without looking severe.

How to use it

Use Tempest on armchairs, sofas or banquettes where you want a restrained grey that still has texture and depth. It pairs well with blackened timber, pale oak and crisp white accents, and works especially well in schemes that need a cooler, more tailored anchor.
