Calais Thunder

Calais Fabric

Calais Thunder is a smoky charcoal grey with a fine, even woven surface that reads calm and contemporary in the light. Its plain finish keeps the colourway focused on tone and texture rather than pattern.

About this fabric

This colourway has a cool, muted charcoal cast with subtle heathered variation across the weave, giving the surface quiet depth rather than a flat block of grey. The cloth is specified as 52% Recycled Polyester and 48% Polyester, and it is designed for curtaining, with a generous 300 cm width that works well for wide drops and seamless window treatments. The plain repeat keeps the look clean, while the tight weave adds a crisp, tailored feel. With no martindale rub test noted, it is best considered as a drapery fabric rather than an upholstery choice.

How to use it

Use Thunder for full-length curtains, wave headers or relaxed blinds where the cool charcoal tone can sharpen pale walls and timber finishes. It also works neatly against off-white, concrete, graphite and black accents for a restrained, urban scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
