Cape Mohair Truffle

Cape Mohair Fabric

Cape Mohair Truffle reads as a deep chocolate brown with a soft, velvety surface and a subtle mohair halo. The plain finish keeps the colour looking rich and even, with slight tonal movement where the pile catches the light.

About this fabric

Woven in a 50% Mohair, 50% Acrylic blend, Cape Mohair Truffle is a plain upholstery fabric with a substantial, plush hand and a 140 cm width. Its 80,000 Martindale rub test makes it well suited to hard-working seating, while the visible texture gives the dark brown colour a warm, tactile depth. In this colourway, the shade sits between espresso and truffle, with a muted warmth rather than a flat black-brown. The surface shows gentle variation and a soft sheen that will add richness to chairs, sofas, and statement cushions.

How to use it

Use this truffle brown on a tailored armchair, deep buttoning, or a sofa where you want the upholstery to feel grounded and refined. It pairs especially well with brass, tobacco leather, and pale linen to sharpen its warm depth.

A rich dark neutral that gives seating a tailored, quietly luxurious finish.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
