Cadence Pepper

Cadence Fabric

Cadence Pepper is a very dark plain fabric with a rich espresso-brown surface and a subtle matte finish. The colour sits close to black in low light, but shows warm brown depth when the light catches the weave.

About this fabric

This colourway reads as a deep, shadowy brown with a restrained, even surface and no visible pattern beyond the fine plain weave. It is supplied as a 100% FR Polyester curtaining fabric, with a generous 300 cm width that suits wide window drops and reduced seam lines. The tone is cool-leaning rather than reddish, giving it a grounded, elegant look that feels softer than true black. With no martindale test noted, it is best considered for curtains and drapes rather than hard-wearing seating.

How to use it

Use Cadence Pepper for full-length curtains where a dark, cocooning backdrop is wanted without the starkness of black. It pairs well with warm timber, brass fittings and softer neutrals to lift the depth of the brown.

A dark, understated plain that works beautifully as a tailored curtain or a tonal backdrop.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
