About this fabric

Woven in 82% viscose and 18% polyester, this fabric has a smooth, lightly lustrous handle that suits upholstery use, with enough presence for occasional drapery too. The repeat is approximately V 32cm / H 18cm, creating a compact vertical zigzag that reads crisp and disciplined across the surface. In this colourway, the charcoal motif sits over a beige-linen ground, so the contrast feels deep but not stark, with the dark lines catching the eye more than reflecting light. At 142cm wide, it offers practical coverage for larger pieces while keeping the pattern’s regular chevron movement intact.

How to use it

Use Tigre Charcoal on a sofa, banquette or club chair where its warm neutral ground can sit comfortably with oak, walnut and blackened metal. It also brings a sharper, more tailored note to curtains or Roman blinds in a layered, earthy room.

A refined small-scale chevron for tailored upholstery or statement drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
