About this fabric
This Marlowe fabric by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 63% viscose, 22% acrylic and 15% cotton blend, with a repeat of approximately V 9cm and H 18cm and a width of approximately 142cm. The small animal motif reads crisp and closely packed, with dark brown outlines and a softer caramel centre that keeps the design lively rather than harsh. The overall colourway is warm and earthy, sitting between cocoa, tan and toasted beige, so the pattern stands out clearly without looking too high-contrast. Its balanced construction and fabric width make it suitable for upholstery use, while the compact repeat helps it sit neatly across chairs, cushions and tailored soft furnishings.
How to use it
Use Wilde Brown to bring warmth to a neutral scheme, especially with oak, walnut and leather tones. It is bold enough for a statement occasional chair, yet the earthy palette also works well as patterned drapery in a relaxed room.
A warm, characterful print for compact upholstery or statement drapery accents.
Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wilde Brown without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
