Porter & Stone

Prague Tan

Misc Fabric

Prague Tan has a warm, earthy patchwork look with tan, olive and brown blocks broken up by circular and striped woven details. The overall effect is textured and grounded, with a rustic feel softened by the fabric’s mixed-fibre sheen.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric from the Misc collection is a 140cm-wide textile with a 30cm pattern repeat and a composition of 48% PES, 43% viscose and 9% cotton. The design reads as a patchwork grid, combining olive-green, tobacco-brown and sandy tan sections with spiral motifs and narrow stripe bands. In this colourway the tan ground sits under deeper brown blocks, so the pattern feels warmer and more subdued than a brighter green version. The viscose content gives the surface a gentle light-catching quality, while the cotton keeps the handle looking grounded and tactile. No performance features are noted, and care is marked NQT1<.

How to use it

Use Prague Tan on occasional upholstery, cushions or relaxed curtains where its warm olive-tan palette can sit comfortably with oak, leather and aged brass. It works especially well in rooms that already have natural texture, because the patchwork pattern gives interest without needing strong contrast.

Pairs well with warm woods and simple linens to let the patchwork texture lead.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
