Porter & Stone

Prague Terracotta

Misc Fabric

Prague Terracotta is a richly patterned woven fabric with a warm, earthy feel and a bold striped-and-blocked geometric layout. The terracotta ground is lifted by olive, ochre, deep brown and red accents that give the design a lived-in, textured look.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is 140cm wide and composed of 48% PES, 43% viscose and 9% cotton, with a 30cm pattern repeat and NQT1 care instructions. The cloth shows a layered geometric motif made up of bands, checks, circles and stripe details, giving it plenty of visual movement. In this colourway, the terracotta base reads warm and muted rather than bright, while the darker brown and olive sections add depth and keep the palette grounded. Touches of faded red and ochre bring contrast without making the design feel overly sharp, so the overall impression is earthy and slightly vintage. The visible texture suggests a substantial decorative textile that would hold its pattern clearly across larger upholstered or draped pieces.

How to use it

Use Prague Terracotta to bring warmth to an upholstered accent chair, bench or headboard, where the geometric repeat can be shown off. It also works well for full-length curtains in a room with natural timber, aged brass or muted green accents, echoing the fabric’s warm ochre and olive notes.

A characterful mid-weight with a warm, earthy palette that works well on statement chairs or lined curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Prague Terracotta without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
