Katrine FR Spice is a warm plaid fabric with a distinctly autumnal feel, mixing terracotta, paprika and muted gold over a soft beige ground. The check reads lively but grounded, with a slightly rustic rhythm in the weave.

About this fabric

This colourway in the Katrine FR collection shows a large check with clear vertical and horizontal structure, softened by the fine woven texture visible in the swatch. The palette is built from warm terracotta, burnt orange, mustard and dusty beige, with darker berry-brown lines giving the pattern definition. As supplied, it is 100% polyester and 140cm wide, with a pattern repeat of 35cm vertically and 34.5cm horizontally. The finish looks practical rather than plush, so it has the easy-going character of a fabric that can sit comfortably on seating without appearing heavy or glossy. Care instructions are NQT1<.

How to use it

Use Spice to warm up a neutral room, especially alongside natural wood, leather or aged brass. Its earthy orange-red check gives enough character for an accent chair, bench cushion or dining seat without overpowering the space.

Works well on relaxed chairs or a statement cushion, where the warm check can bring colour without feeling too polished.
