Porter & Stone

Santa Maria Spice

Arezzo Fabric

Santa Maria Spice shows a small geometric pattern in warm red and terracotta tones, set on a light neutral ground. The design reads crisp and rhythmic, with a lively woven texture that gives the pattern definition.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is composed of 73% polyester and 27% cotton, with a 140cm width and an 8cm pattern repeat. In Santa Maria Spice, the repeated diamond lattice and compact inner motif are worked in spicy terracotta, brick red and muted rose against a pale beige background. The overall effect is warm and slightly weathered rather than bright, which helps the pattern feel settled and usable in a range of schemes. The woven surface has a tactile, tailored look that suits both soft furnishings and window treatments, while the small repeat keeps the design orderly across larger pieces.

How to use it

Pair this warm spice colourway with natural oak, aged brass and cream upholstery for a pulled-together look. It also works well as a patterned contrast beside plain linen, where the terracotta notes can lift otherwise neutral rooms.

Use it to bring a tailored, warm accent to seating or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Santa Maria Spice without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
