Porter & Stone

Chianti Charcoal

Arezzo Fabric

Chianti Charcoal brings the Arezzo design into a cool, quietly dramatic grey palette. The large-scale botanical motif sits over a pale ground, with layered charcoal leaves and stems giving the fabric a shaded, contemporary feel.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is supplied at 140cm wide and has a 71cm pattern repeat, making the bold floral layout straightforward to plan across larger pieces. The composition is 65% polyester and 35% cotton, giving the cloth a practical mixed-fibre handle. In this colourway, the leaves and seedpod forms read in charcoal, graphite and soft silver-grey, while the ground stays light enough to keep the design airy rather than heavy. The overall effect is cool and restrained, with enough contrast in the print to show the leaf veining and textured fill of the motifs.

How to use it

Use Chianti Charcoal on a statement armchair, dining chairs or tailored cushions where the dark botanical outline can anchor a pale room. It also works well beside limestone, concrete, dove grey and black accents for a sharp, modern finish.

Pair with pale timber and brushed metal for a crisp, tailored look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Chianti Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
