Dahlia Charcoal
Digital Prints Fabric
Dahlia Charcoal layers oversized tropical leaves and delicate blossoms over a warm taupe ground, with the darker charcoal forms giving the print real contrast. The overall effect is softly moody rather than stark, thanks to the linen-rich texture visible in the weave.

About this fabric
This fabric from Porter & Stone’s Digital Prints collection is a 50% cotton, 50% linen textile with a 150cm width and a 64cm pattern repeat. In this colourway, the large leaf motifs read in smoky charcoal, soft grey and near-black, while the background keeps a beige-taupe warmth that stops the design feeling холодной or harsh. The print has a crisp, layered look, with the dark stems and veining creating definition against the lighter foliage and pale flower heads. It feels like a versatile mid-weight fabric, suited to schemes that want pattern without losing a grounded, neutral base.
How to use it
Pair it with oak, smoked walnut or brushed black finishes, letting the charcoal outlines echo darker wood or metal details. It works well in rooms that need a calm botanical statement with enough tonal depth to hold their own on curtains or an accent chair.
Use for tailored upholstery or full-length drapery where the charcoal leaf outlines can stand out against the warm ground.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dahlia Charcoal without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
