About this fabric

Balmoral FR Rust from the Balmoral FR collection by Porter & Stone is a 140cm-wide fabric in 78% polyester and 22% cotton. The cloth has a medium, useful body that makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery, while the 32cm vertical and 35.5cm horizontal repeat gives the check a confident, room-filling scale. Visually, the colourway combines muted rust red with sandy beige, warm taupe and olive-leaning stripes, creating a soft country plaid rather than a sharp, high-contrast check. The weave appears slightly napped and tactile, which helps the reds sit into the background rather than flashing brightly, giving the whole design a cosy, understated finish.

How to use it

Use this rust colourway to warm oak furniture, leather accents and neutral linens, or hang it as curtains where the check can soften daylight. It works especially well in relaxed sitting rooms, studies and rural-inspired schemes that need a touch of colour without feeling brash.
