About this fabric

Tanaro is a 100% cotton fabric from Osborne & Little’s Brenta collection, made in India and sold at 140cm (55in) wide. With a 45,000 rub test and a substantial 550gsm weight, it is clearly suited to upholstery use, and its BS5852 cigarette compliance and treatable performance options make it practical as well as decorative. In this colourway, the terracotta ground reads earthy and sunbaked, softened by narrow stripe accents in chalky neutrals and a cool blue-grey thread detail. The alternating zigzag and slender banding give the cloth a relaxed, woven character that feels more grounded than glossy.

How to use it

Use this terracotta stripe on a small sofa, bench cushion or dining chairs where the warm ground can balance natural timber and plaster tones. It also works well against cream walls and woven blinds, letting the blue-grey pinstripes quietly temper the heat of the rust base.
