About this fabric

The medium-scale tartan is built from broad rust fields with narrow, closely grouped stripes in deep teal, charcoal, ochre and muted brown. The intersecting lines form darker checked areas, while the warm base remains visible through the weave and gives the colourway a softly aged depth. The surface appears finely textured rather than smooth, with the raised weave catching the light across the plaid. No performance features are noted in the supplied information.

How to use it

Use Antique Royal Stewart on a traditional armchair, bench or sofa where its rust tone can sit comfortably with aged timber, leather and deep teal accents. The ochre and charcoal lines also make it easy to layer with warm neutrals without losing the tartan’s distinctive character.

Use this warm rust tartan to bring classic country character and layered colour to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
