Babylon Copper

Misc Fabric

Babylon Copper shows a warm copper-brown ground lifted with a subtle metallic glint. The repeating leaf-like motif reads as textural and dark, with lighter bronzed tones catching the pattern’s curves.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is made from 95% polyester and 5% lurex, giving the surface a faint shimmer that plays against the deeper brown base. At 140cm wide with a 24cm pattern repeat, Babylon Copper has a measured, decorative rhythm that suits statement upholstery pieces. The woven-look motif appears in burnished copper and toasted brown, creating a layered, slightly antique finish rather than a bright metallic shine. It feels smart and grounded, with enough warmth to soften darker interiors.

How to use it

Use this copper colourway on a sofa, armchair or ottoman where the subtle lurex can catch natural light. It pairs well with walnut, oxblood, deep green or aged brass for a rich, autumnal scheme.

Pair with warm woods and matte finishes to let the metallic flicker stand out.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Babylon Copper without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
