Aylesbury Heather

Misc Fabric

Aylesbury Heather shows a softly layered floral print on a pale, weathered ground, with the motifs drifting across the cloth in lilac, pink, leaf green and warm accent tones. The overall effect is airy and garden-like, but gently muted rather than bright.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and measuring 137cm wide, Aylesbury Heather has the feel of a versatile furnishing fabric with a decorative, painterly surface. The pattern repeat is 68.5cm vertical by 68cm horizontal, giving the floral clusters room to settle naturally across larger drops or upholstered pieces. In this colourway, the cream base reads slightly aged and heathered, which softens the mauves, blush pinks, sage greens and little touches of apricot and gold. The printed finish sits lightly on the cloth, so the design feels relaxed and organic rather than crisp or formal. Care instructions are EQW1<.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that need colour without heaviness, especially against painted timber, pale stone or warm neutral walls. Use it for curtains, an armchair or a cushioned bench where the soft mauve and sage notes can lift the space.

Use it for relaxed drapes or statement upholstery where the painterly flowers can lead the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
