About this colour

At #624B3B, Scullery reads as a mellow, earth-bound brown with a muted olive undertone, so it feels warm rather than red or chocolate-dark. On walls it absorbs a fair amount of light, giving a room a close, settled feel without turning black or flat. In north-facing light it can look deeper and slightly cooler, bringing out its earthy green-brown side, while in south-facing rooms the warmth becomes more evident and the colour feels softer and richer. It works well beside oak, walnut, aged brass and natural linens, and it gives pale neutrals and creamy whites a strong, grounded contrast.

How to use it

Scullery suits sitting rooms, studies and dining spaces where you want a calm, enveloping wall colour. It also sits well with timber joinery, leather upholstery and woven neutrals with a warm base.

A grounded brown neutral that makes walls feel settled and warm.
