About this colour
This is a very dark, warm brown with a low-key depth that absorbs a good deal of light and can read almost near-black in shadow. In north-facing rooms it will feel even cooler and more restrained, with the brown undertone emerging most clearly beside lighter trims or pale upholstery. In south-facing light it softens a little and shows more of its warm cocoa character without losing its depth. It works well beside oak, walnut and darker stained woods, and also gives crisp contrast to linen, leather and muted neutral fabrics.
How to use it
Use it in a study, snug or dining room where a deeper wall colour can settle the space. It suits natural woodwork, dark-stained joinery and upholstery in camel, stone, tobacco or soft cream tones.
On a wall, this colour reads as a deep, warm brown with a quietly formal feel.
