Tigre Old Blue
Pelham FabricF4861-05
Tigre Old Blue shows a tightly worked vertical chevron stripe in softened blue, sage and warm stone tones. The pattern reads crisp at a distance but relaxed close up, with a gently broken surface that keeps the colourway from feeling flat.

About this fabric
This Pelham fabric is composed of 82% viscose and 18% polyester, with an approximate width of 142cm and a repeat of V 32cm / H 18cm, giving the design a clear but manageable rhythm for furnishing work. In this colourway, the woven leaf-like stripe alternates muted old blue with sandy beige and olive-tinged accents, creating an aged, slightly weathered look rather than a fresh bright stripe. The surface has a soft sheen from the viscose, which lifts the blue notes as light moves across the cloth. With no performance features noted and a √BM fire code, it is a versatile decorative fabric suited to both curtains and upholstery projects where a refined pattern is wanted.
How to use it
Pair this cool, subdued blue with limestone, flax and pale oak for a calm scheme, or set it against deeper brown wood and brass for a more tailored look. The small-scale stripe works especially well on occasional chairs, Roman blinds and accent cushions where the old-blue tone can be appreciated up close.
Use with warm neutrals and aged woods to bring out the subdued blue weave.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tigre Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
