Fulbrook Old Blue

Romilly FabricF4938-04

Fulbrook Old Blue has a quiet, peppered look, with tiny diamond motifs set against a pale ground. The old blue notes read soft and cool rather than bright, giving the design a calm, lightly weathered character.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied at approximately 140cm wide and is woven in 41% viscose, 32% cotton, 14% linen and 13% polyester, which suits its crisp but gently softened handle. The repeat is approximately V 4cm and H 5cm, creating a small, regular diamond pattern that reads neatly across the cloth. In this colourway, the blue-grey motif sits lightly on the creamy ground, so the overall effect is airy, subdued and slightly chalky. The visible texture feels refined rather than heavy, with enough structure for upholstery and enough fluidity for drapery use. No performance features are noted, so it is best chosen for decorative schemes where the colour and small-scale pattern can do the work.

How to use it

Use Fulbrook Old Blue on a tailored armchair, roman blind or loose cover to bring a fresh, settled note to a room. It pairs especially well with off-white paint, weathered oak and deeper indigo trims.

A restrained blue that works neatly with pale woods, chalky neutrals and deeper navy accents.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
