Pelham Blue

Pelham FabricF4857-06

Pelham Blue pairs a soft natural ground with a densely drawn small-scale motif in deep teal blue. The effect is crisp and ordered, with the pattern reading clearly without feeling heavy.

About this fabric

Woven in 68% cotton and 32% linen, this Pelham fabric has the dry, lightly slubbed look you expect from a cotton-linen cloth, and it comes in a width of approximately 140cm. The repeat is approximately V 12cm and H 17cm, giving the design a compact, rhythmic spread across the surface. In this colourway, the motif sits as a darker teal blue against a warm cream-beige base, so the contrast feels defined but not stark. The overall impression is smart and tailored, with enough structure for upholstery and enough flexibility for drapery.

How to use it

Use Pelham Blue where you want a quiet pattern that still has character, such as tailored armchairs, ottoman fronts or roman blinds. Its cream ground and blue-green motif sit well with oak, painted joinery and other restrained classic palettes.

A neat small-scale blue that feels tailored and easy to layer into classic rooms.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
