Hilaire Red/Green
Pelham FabricF4846-02
Hilaire Red/Green has a compact, woven small-scale pattern that reads as a lively red-ground fabric with olive-green accents. The overall effect is warm, textural and slightly rustic, with enough contrast to keep the design crisp.

About this fabric
This Pelham fabric by Colefax and Fowler is a versatile cloth, with a width of approximately 133cm and a repeat of V 8cm / H 9cm approx. The composition combines 45% cotton, 20% viscose, 15% linen, 10% polyester and 10% acrylic, giving the surface a dry, woven handle with a softly varied finish. In this colourway, the red sits in a muted brick and terracotta range, while the green threads create a darker olive outline that sharpens the tiny repeating motif. The result is a smart, textural fabric that feels rich but not glossy, with the pattern reading clearly from close range and blending into a dense all-over effect from further away. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied.
How to use it
Use Hilaire Red/Green on a small armchair, occasional seating or cushions where the brick-red ground can add warmth. It pairs well with aged wood, tobacco leathers and deep green accents, and brings depth to rooms that need a patterned fabric with a tailored feel.
A refined woven with an understated two-tone rhythm that brings warmth without feeling heavy.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Hilaire Red/Green without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
