Castele Cobalt Blue

Roscoe FabricF4770-01

Castele Cobalt Blue shows a compact geometric ground in a muted cobalt, with the motif reading as cool and textural rather than bright. The blue pattern sits over a softer beige-grey base, giving the cloth a calm, tailored look.

About this fabric

Castele Cobalt Blue from the Roscoe collection by Colefax and Fowler is a fabric with a repeat of V 6cm / H 5cm approx and a width of 143cm approx. Its 58% viscose, 30% linen and 12% polyester composition gives the surface a lightly tailored handle, while the visible weave keeps the small-scale pattern looking crisp. The colourway combines restrained cobalt blue motifs with a taupe-beige lattice, so the overall effect is cool but softened, not saturated. The small geometric design has enough detail to hold interest at close range without overpowering a room.

How to use it

This colourway works well on a neat armchair, banquette or curtain where the blue motif can add structure without feeling heavy. Pair it with stone, putty or pale oak finishes to bring out the cooler cobalt notes.

Use with warm woods and plain linens to let the crisp blue motif stand out.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
