About this fabric

This Romilly fabric from Colefax and Fowler is composed of 62% cotton and 38% viscose, giving the cloth a smooth handle and a lightly polished surface. The stripe repeats at approximately 14cm vertically and 22cm horizontally, creating a disciplined, tailored rhythm across the width. In Old Blue, the ground has a muted teal-blue cast rather than a bright navy note, while the slender lighter stripes give the design a fresh, slightly maritime character. At approximately 134cm wide, it is a practical cloth for furnishing schemes that want pattern without visual weight, and the marked stripe reads clearly across a room. The fire code √BM is supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use Old Blue where you want a smart, composed stripe that sits comfortably with painted timber, pale oak, or chalky neutrals. It would be especially good on tailored blinds, an occasional chair, or curtains in a room with cooler blue-green accents.

A restrained vertical stripe that works neatly on upholstery or curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
