Hemsworth Old Blue is a quiet, finely patterned fabric with a softly weathered blue-grey cast. The tiny geometric weave gives the surface a subtle, linen-rich texture rather than a flat finish.

About this fabric

Woven in 58% viscose, 29% linen and 13% polyester, Hemsworth Old Blue has a balanced handle and a lightly textured appearance that suits either upholstery or curtains. The design reads as a small-scale geometric pattern, with tiny diamond-like forms sitting in a calm, faded blue-grey ground. Its 140cm approximate width and V 0cm / H 0cm repeat make it straightforward to use across larger schemes without pattern matching concerns. The overall effect is cool, understated and slightly antiqued, with the weave catching the light in a gentle, matte way.

How to use it

Use this soft blue-grey in schemes that need colour without brightness, such as a tailored sofa, occasional chair or relaxed drapery. It pairs especially well with chalk white, pale oak and deeper navy accents.

A restrained blue-toned weave that works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
