Mellar Old Blue from the Romilly collection by Colefax and Fowler is woven in a 79% Cotton, 12% Polyester, 9% Viscose blend with an approximate width of 138cm and a vertical repeat of 32cm / horizontal repeat of 34cm. The surface reads as a dense, peppered texture rather than a bold motif, with the old blue marking sitting just above a warm neutral base. In the photo, the colour feels muted and slightly dusty, so the overall effect is soft and settled rather than bright or coastal. It is a versatile fabric type with no performance features noted, and the blend gives it enough body for relaxed upholstery as well as decorative curtains.
