Brunello Old Blue shows a gently weathered damask pattern in cool blue-grey against a pale ground. The design reads softly aged rather than bright, giving it a calm, understated character.

About this fabric

This Belvedere fabric is composed of 82% viscose and 18% linen, with a width of approximately 136cm and a vertical repeat of 55cm and horizontal repeat of 68cm. The visible surface has a lightly slubbed, linen-like texture that softens the damask motif and keeps the pattern from feeling overly sharp. In this Old Blue colourway, the ornament sits in misty blue, grey and faded sage tones over a warm neutral base, so the overall effect is cool but not cold. It has enough presence for statement curtains, yet the cloth still feels versatile enough for upholstery where a refined decorative pattern is wanted.

How to use it

Use it with chalky paint, pale oak and brushed metals to let the muted blue pattern stand out. It suits formal sitting rooms, bedrooms or a smart study where the soft damask can add depth without dominating.

A soft old-blue damask that feels refined on drapes or tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
