About this fabric

This textile is woven in 41% viscose, 33% linen and 26% cotton, with a width of approximately 123cm and a large repeat of V 78cm / H 61cm approx. The cloth has a crisp but relaxed look, and the visible ground reads as a muted, dusty blue rather than a bright or icy shade. Across the surface, the multicolour motifs bring in coral, turquoise, ochre and cream accents, giving the design plenty of movement without overwhelming the ground colour. The balance of linen and cotton keeps the appearance grounded, while the viscose adds a smoother, more polished finish.

How to use it

This colourway works well in rooms that want pattern without heaviness, especially when paired with pale timber, chalky paintwork or aged brass. It is particularly appealing for curtains, cushions or a tailored accent chair where the cool blue base can temper the warmer embroidered-looking notes in the design.

Use for elegant curtains or occasional upholstery where the muted blue ground can support the lively multicolour pattern.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Carsina Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
