About this fabric

Braganza Old Blue is a patterned fabric with a refined, hand-embroidered look, showing large floral forms in dusty blue, sea green, muted taupe and soft cream across a fresh pale ground. The design has a relaxed but tailored feel, with the cooler blue notes giving the pattern a calm, slightly weathered character rather than a bright or sugary one. It is woven in a 52% Cotton, 26% Linen, 19% Viscose, 3% Polyester blend, with a width of approximately 129cm and a large repeat of V 76cm / H 63cm approx. The surface reads as softly textured and decorative, making it well suited to a considered interior scheme. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √CM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

This colourway works especially well on upholstered pieces that need pattern without heaviness, or at the window where the pale ground keeps the room airy. Pair it with chalky blues, putty neutrals and aged wood for a calm country-house feel.

Use with pale woods and linen upholstery for a crisp, tailored look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Braganza Old Blue without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
