Colefax and Fowler

Baptista Linen Red/Sage

Braganza FabricF4102-02

Baptista Linen Red/Sage brings a soft cream ground alive with painterly florals, leafy stems and crisp red accents. The overall effect is decorative but airy, with the sage tones keeping the pattern from feeling too intense.

About this fabric

This Colefax and Fowler Braganza fabric is woven in a 35% Linen, 35% Viscose, 30% Cotton blend, giving the cloth a gently tailored handle and a softly lustrous finish. The print reads as a large-scale floral trail, with broad petals, looping stems and small berry-like dots arranged across a warm cream background. In this colourway, the red notes are vivid but not brash, while the sage and blue-green elements add a cooler balance that stops the design becoming overly sweet. The repeat is generous at approximately V 75cm and H 64cm, and the 127cm approximate width makes it suitable for substantial furnishing projects. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use it where you want pattern to feel composed rather than loud: a statement chair, occasional sofa or lined curtains against painted joinery. The warm cream ground pairs especially well with natural wood, faded greens and quietly saturated red accents.

A warm cream ground keeps the red and sage embroidery feeling fresh rather than heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
