Ariadne Russet/Sage

Braganza FabricF4813-01

Ariadne Russet/Sage pairs a warm linen ground with finely worked vertical floral stripes in russet, sage, teal and gold tones. The design feels decorative and rhythmical, with enough softness in the ground to keep the look relaxed.

About this fabric

This Braganza fabric is composed of 60% Linen, 33% Viscose and 7% Polyester, giving the cloth a natural-looking base with a little extra body and drape. The stripe repeats vertically at approximately 39cm, with a horizontal repeat of about 44cm, and the pattern shows as narrow trailing sprays alternating with more ornate embroidered medallions and leaf work. In this colourway, the off-white linen ground is warmed by russet, terracotta and ochre accents, while sage and teal lift the design and stop it feeling too heavy. The overall effect is smart but not severe, with the multicoloured embroidery standing out clearly against the pale base. Care code Q 8 + T 3 and fire code √BM are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ariadne Russet/Sage where you want a patterned fabric with warmth and detail, such as upholstered accent chairs, pelmets or elegant full-length curtains. Its beige ground and softened jewel-toned embroidery sit well with aged wood, painted green joinery and neutral upholstery.

A lively embroidered stripe that works beautifully for tailored curtains or statement upholstery.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Ariadne Russet/Sage without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
